Looking back through my blog, I seem to have drifted into things I have noticed on the web and not really commented on whats going on in general in my world – so I thought I’d solve that problem 🙂

I trekked down to Portsmouth and Isle of Wight last week for a few days – the intention being to go to Cowes week and check out the races etc. Of course this all went up in the air when I had to return to London on Friday, so a day in Shanklyn and a morning in Portsmouth had to suffice. Isle of Wight is stunning though – the scenery is stunning, the beaches are gorgeous – and quite busy though I presume htis was because of Cowes week. Oh and the fish in chips are a definite improvement over the London attempts 🙂 Portsmouth is changing as well – its following the likes of Bristol, Reading, Birmingham and a lot of other places and redeveloping an area to feature plenty of water, shops and housing. I was really impressed when I saw it in Bristol, and I’m still impressed in Portsmouth – though they do all look very similar! I wonder how they will all fare over the next 10 years or so.
