Seigenthaler, founder of the First Amendment Center, discovered a false entry about himself in wikipedia recently which set off a whole bunch of stories about its credibility. That in turn forced wikipedia to change its rules slightly amd require any new entries to be written by registered users. As I think I said previously, what about those existing entries?? Anyhow, it turns out the culprit for this particular entry did it as a joke for a co-worker – and I am sure he is not the only one.
