is scoble losing the plot?

I read a post recently on scoble where he talked about gestures and rather than link to Fred’s blog (the reason for the post) as w(sh)ould be normal practice said that users should be able to find him using Google and Techmeme. On this basis, why does Scoble link to his Naked Conversations book on Amazon? Surely by the same logic, users can search on google for his book and buy it from their preferred vendor?

Of course.. this is why links are so important.. it makes moving through a chain of information easy and quick and encourages people to digest more information. (Is that a good thing?) By not linking, the required interest levels to find that link need to be significantly higher. Why is that better?
