FON

Spanish company, FON, who allows its users to share each others’ wifi access when away from home, seem to have a sense of humour.

All its users are given levels according to how they provide and use wifi services – so those that give free access to their wifi are called “Linus”; those that charge for access are called “Bills”; and those who pay are called “Aliens” – now it doesnt take a genius to link the first 2 names to their real world counterparts! (OK, go on then – Linus Torvelds, founder of Linux the free operating system; Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft). Strangely this hasnt been mentioned directly by the press as yet..
